The door mounted reader is a battery driven add-on for Scandinavian style lock cases (e.g. ASSA 565) and cylinders. It is suitable for doors which are not opened very often and where power or cost is an issue.
The product consists of two parts: the reader which is mounted on the outside of the door blade and the controller which is mounted on the inside. Mounting is non-destructive (there is no need to drill holes) and takes less than 20 minutes.
The reader has two indicator LEDs and a vibration sensor. When the unit is not in use, all electronics are shut off and only the clock is running. It is woken up by lightly tapping the front with the card or phone, after which it is ready to operate in less than a second.
The controller part on the inside is connected to the front through a cable which is passed through the hole for the cylinder. It contains the control electronics, and an electric motor which allows the door handle to move the bolt after a valid "ticket" has been read and verified. After the bolt has been engaged, the door can be unlocked by pushing down the handle, or locked by pulling it up.
The battery pack holds 4 AA batteries and lasts approx. 300 openings.

This unit is a wall mounted combined reader and lock controller. It can be connected to most electric locks and strikes on the market. It is suitable for entrance doors and other doors which are opened frequently or where strong mechanical security is important.
The unit can be mounted countersinked or outside-lying. It has four indicator LEDs and can be delivered with or without PIN-pad. PIN codes can be used as the only requirement for opening (e.g. during day time) or as a complement to the user's device (phone or card) for added security.
The wall mounted reader can be configured for both offline and online use. When configured for online, it can be used to write "tickets" to users' devices, which can then be used to open offline locks. Other reasons for using the product online include the ability to blacklist lost cards or phones, and to read logs in real-time.
The unit has inputs and outputs for push-button opening, alarm control, and communication (for cases where it is configured for online use).
The administrative system is a suite of software tools used for creating and managing users, defining access policies, assigning policies to users and sending "tickets" to the users' devices (NFC phones or contactless smart cards).
The administrative system has a web based user interface so that it can be accessed from any PC with an Internet connection. Alternatively, it can be integrated with the customer's existing access control system to avoid having to maintain two separate systems.
Advanced features include support for:
The system is offered as a hosted service or it can be installed on the customer's own servers.
